No one pays any attention to me or what I say, Lord.
I'm nobody, I guess. I haven't done anything important or made anything.
No one listens when I talk,
No one asks my opinion.
I'm just there like a window or a chair.
I tried to build a boat once but it fell apart.
I tried to make the baseball team
But I always threw past third base.
I wrote some articles for our school paper,
But they didn't want them.
I even tried out for the school play,
But the other kids laughed when I read my lines.
I seem to fail at everything.
I don't try anymore because I'm afraid to fail.
And no one likes to fail all the time.
If only there was something I could do,
Something I could shout about,
Something I could make that was my work
Only mine. And people would say,
"Richard did that!"
And my parents would say,
"We're proud of you, son!"
But I can't do anything.
Everyone else is so much better at everything than I am.
The more I fail the more it eats away at me until I feel weak inside.
I feel like I'm nothing.
Lord, the world seems full of heroes
and idols and important people.
Where are all the failures?
Where are they hiding?
Where are the people like me?
Did you ever fail, Lord?
Did you?
Do you know how I feel?
Do you know what it's like
When everyone looks up at you and says:
"He's a failure."
The above reflects how so many of our math students feel. We decided to do something about it. We started Schoolbus Software for those who felt left out in math. Some students, for whatever the reason, don't know the basic facts. They lack confidence. They have little parental support. You name it. They decided they couldn't do math. For so many teachers, it's a battle. The children come in disliking math because they feel they have often failed. Well, I'm here to tell you our products can and do help them succeed in math.
Don't believe me. Try any of our Programs and see for yourself.
What we need is the RIGHT TO SUCCEED attitude for teaching math. That is, try different ideas and tell us only those ideas that work. We need this now, not only to do math but all areas of the curriculum.
Our goal is to improve techniques and methods that work to the point that we have no failures.
There are many successful techniques that none of us have seen. Teachers all over the world spend years developing methods that really work. We need to find out who these teachers are, what are their methods and how best to deploy them? Every teacher has ideas that work. We need to get these teachers to share their ideas with the rest of us. Contact us and we will try to help.
How long do you caring teachers and parents have to wait? Show us what works. All our products are guaranteed if 95% of your kids can't do fractions within 30 days, you get your your money back! Ask other publishers if they will do the same, especially in math. Over 70% of our high school graduates cannot do fraction operations. That's been going on for over thity years. Would you invest in or buy a product that has failed 70% of the time? Nationally our schools have been in the lower 25% of the industrial nations of the world in mathematics. Well, let's rock the boat demand accountability from the publishers not the hard working teachers. If their books don't improve our math scores demand accountability let's get a refund. Better yet, don't purchase any math books until you get a guarantee. We have been blaming the teatchers' for failing our kids. Teachers' are doing a terrific job with textbooks that are not accountable, only profitable. The buck stops with the publisher not the teachers. We have seen enough and are trying to do something about it. You can to, try us out. If we work, tell your school boards, educators, teachers, and parents. If we don't work, shout that out too but we give you your money back, do they? If not, why not? Are we so fragile that our educational system can afford to reject what works? Most of our students will not be mathmaticians or rocket scientists but just normal, hard working adults trying to do what they do best.
We are, after all, guaranteed to work or you get your money back.
How many math educational products say that?
